A number of years ago, Steve Blachford took his 30+ years of skill and expertise in furniture finishing and applied it to door refinishing, maintenance and repair. The company that grew out of that venture is Door Belle.

*All exterior work is done on site using the high-quality specialty product Sikkens which results in a stunning curb appeal that the home owner can be proud of!
**Interior work is done both onsite and in shop as determined by each individual project. Materials used are based on the finish and technique requested by the client.
Exterior Project Overview
Exterior projects are a multiple step process with an approximate time of 5 days. Each project is subject to the condition of the door, number of coats required and weather conditions.
Day 1 – Full Crew
- Client required onsite to open entrance
- Removal of door, all hardware, entrance covered and area taped off.
- Door staged in garage, strip, sand, wash down, first coat of Sikkens is applied
- Door is re-hung in door frame and secured overnight to cure.
Day 2–4 – Finisher
- Client need not be present. Work is done with door in place.
- Door is scuff sanded and next coat of Sikkens is applied
Final Day – Finisher
- Client is required onsite
- All hardware and weather strip is reinstalled, area is cleaned and debris removed
- The job is complete!
